HASTINGS FARMERS MARKET AT LAKE CATHIE Saturday 22 April

The April Hastings Farmers' Market will be held on the beautiful area surrounding the Lake Cathie Community Hall at Mullaway Road,Lake Cathie on Saturday, 22 April. This is because the usual location at the Wauchope Showground is unavailable due to the annual Wauchope Show.

"If this new location turns out to be as good as early indications suggest we may well consider more regular markets outside of Wauchope and Port Macquarie," said Council's Economic Development Manager, Trevor Sargeant

The Hastings Farmers Market continues to act as a valuable direct sales outlet for farmers and producers in the Hastings.

Almost the entire product sold at the Market comes from local producers who use sustainable agricultural practices

Simply put, local food is better food. It tastes better and it is better for our community.

But the April Market will see one big change ??.the location at Lake Cathie.

And what a great spot! With Vendors in the hall and outside on the surrounding parklands the market will take on a picnic atmosphere.

Come and enjoy our terrific spring weather and shop for all your favourite foods knowing that all produce has been locally grown and freshly picked for the market.

Lots of other great products include corn fed chicken, fish, smoked tuna and smoked tuna dip, Norfolk punch, wines, a range of gourmet conserves, pestos, chilli jamsand sauces, flowers, fruit trees, mulch and much more.

Mothers Day is just around the corner and the market offers some lovely gifts for Mum. Select from lovely lavender body and hand creams, sachets and gift packages, lemon scented tea tree oil products, olive oil personal
products, handmade olive oil soaps and shower gels, macadamia nuts and gourmet products, fudges and gift baskets containing local produce.

Enjoy a well-earned coffee and plate of Dutch pancakes in lovely surrounding grounds.

Trading commences at 8am til 12noon, with on-site parking available
