Farmers' Market New Zealand Inc. Inaugural Conference

The inaugural Farmers' Market New Zealand Inc. Conference will take place in Hawke's Bay 16, 17 and 18 June 2006.

This will be a milestone and a fantastic opportunity to gain knowledge and energy form a commited group of speakers and collegues in the farmers'market movement.

Speakers will include;

  • Bernie Prince Director Fresh Farm Markets, Washigton DC. Bernie's organisation runs 6 farmers' markets in and around DC.

 

  • Graeme Avery President and CEO of Sileni Estates winery. Graeme was the driving force behind the regional food & wine tourism branding of Hawke's Bay Wine Country. Graeme's energy and vision was the catalyst for various developements including the Hawke's Bay Farmers' Market.

 

  • Jane Adams, marketing consultant & Australian Farmers' Market Association National Chair. Jane's experience in regional branding, farmers' markets and product branding and marketing makes her the ideal speaker to broaden horizons beyound farmers' markets
  • Dr. Alan Cameron, Massey University. Alan has been studying farmers' markets in New Zealand in relation to their function as business incubators
  • Stallholders and Market Managers from around the country will share their experiences and lead panel discussions and food safety issues will be covered by NZFSA.
