A BIG IDEA Article from the Australian Financial Review BOSS Magazine
If you don't read the Australian Financial Review BOSS magazine you won't be aware that their fifth birthday issue (March 2005) was devoted to the '101' Big Ideas of the future that will change your life and shape your work.
And guess what ranks as IDEA 12? Farmers' markets, of course!
The entry reads as follows:
'Sick to death of the same food presented in the same way at your local Woolies or Coles? Try your local farmers' market where freshly grown, and sometimes quirky food is sold by small-hold sea-change farmers who can't or won't leap the hurdles the big supermarket chains ask of their suppliers.'

Other great ideas between 1 and 11 include charity, good manners, robotic dogs, risk and wealth. And, you'll be gratified to know too that farmers' markets rate ahead of croquet, nepotism, hot rocks, space tourism and botox booths.
Isn't it amazing how something as fundamental as buying seasonal, fresh food straight from the farm can rank right up there with the latest business and social trends...
So, do your bit for the future, make a decision to shop at your local farmers' market and support sustainable food production.
